I've got an original DS, but for the summer holidays I'm gonna get a DSi. I love the whole idea of the DSiWare thing, and I really want the Moving Memo app. I'm pretty certain at some stage they're gonna make music software like NitroTracker for the DSi, and maybe even programming software!

For me, I prefer staying with my DS Lite. Some people would love the new features, but some others would still also like to stay with the old versions...that support Slot-2.

I'm afraid I'm with blackiris on this one, unless you can get pokemon emerald on the virtual console and transfer to diamond like the lite can with slot-2

I reckon they'll make an adapter that fits into the SD slot that holds GBA games

I reckon i'll make do with a DS lite, and an iPod Touch (Jailbroken of course) with Nes,Snes,GB,GBC,GBA emulators.

I'm not 100% sure, but since the DSi now lacks the hardware for running Slot-2, I don't think even the extra power the DSi has will enable it to run GBA at full speed. That's just from random snooping around forum threads about why there cannot be a Slot-1 GBA emulator though. I can't get any more specific or technical other than that. ^^; And as for the jailbroken iPod Touch, I've tried it and it works great, but some people do prefer having the classic buttons on their system so I'd go for one of those devices made for homebrew like the GP2X. If only I had ways to get one...

About the emulators on your iPod Touch, would old GameBoy homebrew software like LittleSoundDJ work on it?

hmm, dunno. i'll try. one thing i was rather annoyed by is the fact that "mario paint" (snes) doesn't work because it used the snes mouse in real life. which sucks.

well, i can only run homebrew on my DS lite through the Action Replay Media Edition, which means: (1) ROM must be less than 4MB, as it loads the whole rom into the DS's RAM (2) Because of (1), I cannot save files at all (3) Because of (1), I cannot load files at all, including required resource files for some games. =_= also, i lost my microSD card, so i can't test it either. ----------Posts Merged---------- And as for the jailbroken iPod Touch, I've tried it and it works great, but some people do prefer having the classic buttons on their system so I'd go for one of those devices made for homebrew like the GP2X.
